Ridge Athletics was founded in 2022 and started as a way to better serve athletes through a mix of in person and virtual programming, which reduces the financial and time burdens of frequent in person physical therapy sessions. This model has been very successful, particularly with the running community, due to the extensive and thorough nature of custom virtual programming.
Ridge Athletics is based out of Flagstaff, AZ and serves the local community through travel/at home service options. This means that I come to you (at your home) or agreed upon location where I can deliver my services in a convenient way. Apart from this option, I also offer virtual services which include initial assessments and in-depth rehab and custom strength programming to allow for optimal results.
There are a variety of ways to utilize my services in an efficient and optimal way. Whether you are local and want to begin with an initial at home session or you feel comfortable jumping right into a virtual assessment and custom program or a combination of both, I'll help you work towards your goals. Whether you are working through an injury or are trying to get stronger for your next ultramarathon, you can expect to work through whatever is needed to match the goals you have.
Any and all injuries can be treated at Ridge Athletics. I have extensive experience and practice working with all types of orthopedic injuries. This may include anything from post-surgical rehabilitation to high level sports injuries, and much, much more. Whether you have acquired a structural injury, pain when performing your sport, or are trying to enhance your performance, I have significant experience working with all situations. In addition to rehabbing injuries, both injury prevention and sports performance are high priorities for all clients I work with and am happy to help accomplish these goals.

Ridge Athletics has no physical location. My business is a "travel" and virtual business, meaning that I can travel to you for an initial or follow up appointment OR work with you through my extensive virtual programming. A combination of the two can be done as well.

Ridge Athletics is a completely cased based physical therapy practice. This means that we are out of network with all insurance companies.
WHY?
There are many reasons Ridge Athletics is a completely cashed based physical therapy clinic:
1. It allows us to ability to offer full 1-on-1 sessions with no constraints. Most clinics that operate exclusively with insurance companies are constantly under time and treatment constraints, which limits the physical therapist in performing their job to the highest quality.
2. Better results and improved performance. Because I can take the appropriate amount of time with a client, I'm able to offer a very high level of care. This directly translates to improved recovery from injury and a reduced amount of time to get there.
3. I can offer services how I see fit. Many times, physical therapists are limited on the type, quantity, duration and frequency of visits due to insurance limitations. This means sometimes you cannot get the type of care you need because insurance companies are limiting what can be provided. At Ridge Athletics, I can offer custom treatment plans that deliver exactly what you need, when you need it.
4. Reduced overall amount of visits. Because I have the proper time allocated for EACH person, this lets me accomplish what we need with fewer visits overall. This is directly related to improved understanding and education during a session, improved communication with your physical therapist outside a session, and a more thorough rehab approach overall.
5. Heath care costs may be reduced overall. Between deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance and unexpected fees, most people pay a high amount for healthcare services. Depending on your insurance plan, the costs associated with a physical therapy visit may match or even be higher than a cash pay rate, especially if you have not met your deductible. This, paired with an overall greater amount of visits needed in the traditional physical therapy model, may leave you paying more for physical therapy at an insurance based clinic.
At Ridge Athletics, fewer visits to get you on the other side of injury at a reduced cost, especially when paired with my virtual programming.
Hi! I am Kameron and I have lived in Flagstaff, Arizona since 2011 and graduated from Northern Arizona University with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2017. Since then, I have been engaged deeply in my professional development, acquiring my Orthopedic Clinical Specialty in 2020. Since working as an orthopedic physical therapist, I have worked extensively with the Flagstaff athletic population and have gained significant experience with both recreational and Olympic level athletes.
Apart from working with athletes, I am an endurance athlete myself. I am an avid runner and have participated in every running event from the road 1 mile to 100 mile ultrarunning trail races. In the winter, I take to the slopes for months of aggressive alpine skiing and uphill ski/ski mountaineering training and races. My dedication to the outdoors and endurance sports is what drew me to the physical therapy profession in the first place and the joy I get from helping others reach their goals and maximize their potential keeps me going.

Ridge Athletics is a completely cash based physical therapy practice. This means we are out of network with all insurance companies. This allows the opportunity for all services to be one on one care and to truly develop a tailored and specific plan to meet your needs without insurance requirements dictating the path forward.
If you choose to go the route using my virtual programming, we would set up an initial call to discuss goals and go through a biomechanical assessment to determine what you specifically need to work on. From there, I'll create a dynamic, custom program for you to follow that is updated regularly based off feedback you give me.
No! Although I specialize in treating outdoor athletes, all are welcome! I have ample experience in treating all conditions and injuries. Whether you want to be seen for any discomfort/pain or want to optimize your performance in any athletic realm, I would love to work with you.
